Red Flag Tattoos

16 Aug

Bad TattooI have always respected the art, the tradition and the culture of tattoos. Like most people, I always knew I would get at least one tattoo but unlike most, I choose a tattoo like I would choose a life partner… hmm, maybe I put more consideration into my tattoos. You can breakup with a bad girlfriend but you can’t breakup with a bad tattoo (technically you can but it’s similar to separating from a crazy ex; expensive and painful).

Two important things to keep in mind regarding tattoos…

It takes two to make a good tat. You need the artist that has the experience and artistic talent to create a tattoo. You also need an original idea that has real meaning and can be expressed through an image. It must be something you will never regret… umm, unlike this girl.

Any reputable tattoo shop and artist will tell you to go pound sand if you bring them a bad idea so if a person has a shitty tattoo it was either done from home, a faulty shop or in jail.

Reasons why a person ends up with a bad tat:

• They have an impulsive personality: they need it now and don’t bother to think things through.
• They’re irresponsible and/or immature and, therefore, make poor life choices.
• They have bad taste and shit ideas anyway, so why not tattoo cornrows on your head?
Bad Tattoo
• They are easily influenced by others: they dress, act, talk or tat according to what is popular.
• They lack value and respect for themselves and their bodies and will get a tattoo just for the attention. What other ways will they abuse their body for attention?

Hi, I am a disabled Vet. I suffer from PTSD. I have tattoos and one on my head. Please do not be so quick to judge or flag an Individual for there choices in ink. While I do agree there are many who choose tattoos as a way to attract attention, Mine was the exact opposite. Since having my scalp tattood the amount of people willing to interact with me has fallen (by no surprise of coarse!). That is much easier to deal with. Keeping people who are negative and quick to judge away from me is better than having to answer questions asked to our combat veterans too often, like “did you see alot? did you kill anyone? how long were you gone? etc etc. I do my best to remain positive, although all this could be a dream. I may have died in Baghdad.

Given you have trouble understanding the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their’, I think it’s fitting that you have a tattoo on your head. Both of these things point to you being a fucking idiot, whether disabled or not.
